Australia: A $6-million Cannabis Farm With More Than 3,000 Plants Was Discovered In The Middle Of Nowhere
A farmer in Australia — apparently with more than his fair share of moxy — was taking advantage of the open space in his native country’s outback, until police discovered a large-scale cannabis operation containing thousands of plants in the Australian state of New South Wales (NSW).
Todd Brendon Henderson, 34, was arrested after detectives with Strike Force Hyperion found a cannabis crop worth an estimated $6 million on a 20,000-acre property in Tindarey, NSW, 9News reports.
It is alleged the site was being used as a dedicated cannabis plantation and that the man was involved in the large-scale cultivation and supply of cannabis across the region.
Beyond seizing the plants, police also took away a loaded double-barrel shotgun and more cannabis from a home on the property.
